Sketch Worthy No. 01
Ideas, inspirations, and things that make me want to create.
Welcome to my site, to my field notes, and to my first edition of sketch worthy! I frequently collect pictures of shapes, colors, designs, and other inspirations I find on my adventures in the world. This is collection no. 01.
Our white bellflower, signifying purity, sincerity, gratitude, humility, and peace.
I’ve recently become very interested in the meanings of flowers. Floral design has always been an interest, and the idea that you could arrange a bouquet of flowers to send a particular message to the recipient is so intriguing to me. So I frequently find myself taking pictures to look up meanings. I also love the shape of the petals on the bellflower and the arrangement of blooms on the stalk.
Inspiration from travels:
June 10-14, 2026: Wilmington, NC
Shape color, flow of metal sculpture in the Wilmington airport.
Arrangement of shells from Wrightsville Beach
Line, pattern, value from the Riverwalk.
Inspiration from the Upper Valley.
Friday, June 5, 2026. 3:56 PM. Poppies saved for creating a collage for an upcoming art donation. I love the unreal color of these blooms and the pattern inside the bloom. Seeing them in person always makes me so happy.
Thursday, June 4, 2026. 8:29 PM. Sunset over Mascoma Lake, after kayaking. Peaceful, warm, comforting.
